Is swimming really important for young children?

How do you keep babies safe during lessons?
For babies under 4 months (if exceptions are made) we: – Minimise water in the ears and eyes – Avoid submersions – Focus on gentle water confidence Safety and comfort are always our priority.

Is the pool heated?
Yes. Our pool is heated for comfortable year-round swimming so lessons continue throughout the year.

Can parents watch the lessons?
Yes. Parents are welcome to watch from the poolside. Seeing their child progress is often one of the most rewarding parts of lessons.

How often should my child attend lessons?
For best progress we recommend one lesson per week. Some swimmers attend two lessons per week to progress faster.

What happens if we miss a lesson?
If you cannot attend, please notify us as early as possible. Ask us for our make up policy.

Do lessons run during school holidays? Yes. Swimming is a year-round program, which helps children maintain and improve their skills consistently.

What happens if my child cries? Crying is common when children start lessons. Teachers are trained to handle this and it usually passes quickly. Parents are encouraged to step out of sight so children can focus.

Should I stop lessons if my child doesn’t like them at first?
No. Many children need a few weeks to adjust. Learning to swim can be challenging at first but becomes rewarding once confidence develops.

How often should my child attend lessons?
One to two lessons per week is recommended for steady progress.
